Is there an NRE fee for full custom carrier board design?
During scoping, an NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) fee is calculated based on scope. If your purchasing volume meets the agreed-upon target within a 2-year window, the NRE is fully credited back against hardware purchases—effectively resulting in zero-cost development.
How long does it take from project kick-off to receiving an EVT unit?
This scales with complexity. Minor mechanical chassis changes and basic I/O expansion require roughly 3-4 weeks. True board-level redesigns involving third-party proprietary components usually take 6-12 weeks to yield a functional prototype.
What asset files are needed to silkscreen my logo?
Please provide high-resolution vector files such as AI, PDF, or EPS. For trademarked logos, we will also require you to sign a simple authorization waiver verifying your right to print the identity.
How do you determine if a unit is still under warranty coverage?
Every dispatched unit includes a tamper-evident serial number (S/N) sticker. Even if utilized in our Blind Drop-Shipping program, this unique identifier is logged in our database, tying the hardware back to its original manufacturing and dispatch date to calculate the warranty period.
